The Yarra Promenade
It is a given that us Melburnians love to ride bikes in and around the city and inner suburbs of Melbourne in particular.
Where is the best riding trail that takes you to the best locations?
I have found bike riding along the Yarra promenade at Southbank to be great, although with too many people and construction works going on due to the recent renovations at
Crown, it can be a challenge. Shame that bike riding is not allowed inside the
Royal Botanical Gardens, that would be fantastic if this could be allowed.
Bike riding trail along tram route 109 to Port Melbourne
Although quite ordinary, the bike riding trail that begins at South Wharf (just behind the
Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre) and finishes up at Port Melbourne (along tram route 109) is great because you find yourself at Port Melbourne quite quickly, and you are also at the beach not long after. This trail is also safe and does not get overly crowded.
