Ever heard of poi? Poi is the Maori word for a ball on a cord. These cords are usually spun, swung, juggled and danced with for entertainment. Sometimes they are even set on fire to do fire spinning. Sounds pretty cool, hey. Now there's an opportunity for you to begin learning the tricks of poi.

Dragon Mill - Adelaide's school of fire art - are conducting a beginner course this February so that you can start attempting to master the activity.

The course costs $100 per person for 8 weeks, with one class during each week either on a Sunday or Monday night. The Sunday classes run from 5:30pm-6:30pm, and the Monday classes are 6pm-7pm.

You'll be twirling flames before you know it! During the 8 weeks, participants will learn starting skills, fire safety, and fire spinning.

All equipment is provided by Dragon Mill, and you will be coached by professionals the entire time.

There is no age restriction for these classes, however it is recommended that those joining in are over the age of 12.

Dragon Mill is located on Gunston Street in the heart of Adelaide's CBD.

For more details, or to book some tickets, head to the Dragon Mill website .

This is definitely a trick that will impress.
