Filled wall-to-wall with chiffon, bows and sale signs, the Bardot Factory Outlet is a fashionable bargain hunter's dream. Catering primarily for a young female market, Bardot releases season after season of feminine and sensuous collections.

Items are grouped by price along the walls, starting with the cheapest at $5 and going up to about $40. There is a separate section for damaged stock, which can be had for a fraction of its original price. The floor contains more expensive stock, for about the same prices they can be found on sale in retail stores. There was not one full-priced item in sight.

There is a section for Bardot Junior clothing, which has items for boys, girls and infants. The Bardot Junior collections are adorably on-trend without being too adult.

Most of the clothing in stock tends to be size 14 or size 6, with some size 12s if you are dedicated enough to find them. Size 8 and 10 garments are unfortunately hard to come by, although there are a few hidden amongst the 14s. Bardot doesn't seem to have subscribed to the trend of vanity sizing, so if you're a size 10, you're not going to be able to get away with squeezing into a 6.

A small selection of hugely reduced Bardot shoes are available, however you would be lucky to find anything other than a size 5 or 9. A wealth of seasonal accessories such as headbands, scarves and belts are available, for about half their regular price.

The change rooms aren't as luxurious as the Chadstone Bardot store's, but you will be so excited to try on your cut-price finds that it won't matter. With an ample amount of change rooms, having to wait is a rarity. There is a limit of five garments or less in the change room, however staff won't mind if you bring in one or two extra.

The customer service is excellent, with staff members happily assisting with locating specific items and offering fashion advice. They warn everyone about fifteen minutes before the store is due to close, but don't mind if you need an extra five minutes after closing time.

A short walk from Collingwood and North Richmond railway stations, the Bardot Factory Outlet is easily accessible by public transport from the city.
