Barbie: A Picnic Surprise is a lovely little book, aimed at young girls, who are ready to advance a little in their reading skills.

This is the story of the day that Barbie, her boyfriend Ken and her little sister Skipper, went on a picnic.

While the trio went for a swim, the picnic is ruined by a cute, mischievous little dog that ran off with all the food!

They follow the dog to find she has four adorable puppies and they set out to find the owners and something to eat.

This book subtly helps it's readers to learn about the importance of pets wearing their collars & proper tags, so if they ever go a stray, it can help them get back home.

I enjoyed this book very much, as I am a huge Barbie fan and I am big animal enthusiast.

This book was originally published by A Golden Book New York, in conjunction with Mattel in 1990
