Sydney's summer experience is incomplete without beaches, discount shopping and barbecue. With long summer days and a plethora of parks to choose from that offer free barbecues, its time to plan a nice picnic outside.
Outdoor barbeque picnics need a little bit of preparation. If the park you choose offers electric barbeques then you can remove coal from your shopping list, else you will need them. One of the main things you will need is good cleaning agents and lots of water. It is also good to carry some cleaning cloth, scrubs and kitchen towels.
Tip: Try the local supermarket's barbecue segment for all the barbecue cleaning agents and necessities.
When it comes to food, always carry burgers, bread rolls and salad and of course sausages, marinated chicken and a assortment of vegetables.
Located in at the end of Pirrama Road,
Pyrmont Point Park is situated right on the harbour and offers expansive water views and lovely views of the Anzac bridge. Pyrmont point park is easy to reach and offers free electric barbecues to all. There are 2 barbecue areas with 4 electric barbecues each. There are covered seating areas close to the barbecues where the picnic setup can be put.
Tip: Since the electric barbecues automatically turn off after 10 minutes, remember to bend down and switch it on every now and then.
So keep an eye for the weather forecast, choose a clear day, gather some family and friends and head out to barbecue at Pyrmont point park.
