Looking for a cafe that provides Sydneysiders with the extra kick early in the morning? Are you in the hearts of CBD along Pitt Street? If you are then you should read on.
Situated in the hearts of Wynyard in the Sydney CBD, Bar Pronto (as the name suggests) may sound like a new bar similar to the Ivy Bar nearby. As soon as I saw a long queue outside Bar Pronto, I decided to see why this restaurant would have so many people queuing outside the café in the morning. Even though I had to wait for five minutes I realized the reason why the queue would be so long. David, the owner of the café, has such attention to detail that he would greet the people by their own name and confirm their daily coffee to the bare skeleton. One example that I remembered would be the following:
Hi John, Would you like the regular strong flat white with 2 equals in a large cup?'
When it comes to my turn, he greeted me with a friendly smile and asked for my coffee. As an unusual coffee drinker, I decided to test his skill and ordered a regular three-quarter cap with one brown sugar.
The cap is creamy and smooth with a delicate touch. The delicate touch has been provided by Hazel De Loz Reyes, the Australian Barista Championship winner in 2005. In order to maintain the consistent coffee, all baristas require intense training from Hazel prior to become a barista in Bar Pronto.
With the friendly customer service and creamy and smooth coffee, it would be difficult to ignore Bar Pronto as one of the main competitors in Sydney CBD.
