It was a lazy Tuesday night at home in Rozelle, and I wasn't in the mood to cook at all, despite having a really awesome day. I wanted to share some quality food with a loved one, so that is exactly what I ended up doing. Thankfully Bangkok Spice on Darling Street has an extremely efficient home delivery service which allows you to enjoy delicious Thai food in the comfort of your home.
Tucking into some of the Chicken Green Curry with Steamed Jasmine Rice at home
The food arrived in no time at all. My eating partner and I enjoyed some crispy prawn chips (unexpectedly given to us by the restaurant with their compliments, and I ensured that I gave them a reasonable tip as a result). The special sauce that came with the Peking Duck Pancakes (4 pieces for $9.90), unfortunately turned out to be slightly tasteless on this occasion, while the duck tasted a little too dry. On the other hand, Bangkok Spices' vegetables were rather tasty and fresh, not to mention really good for you.
Moving on, the Chicken Green Curry (roughly $12 off hand) had delicious flavours that more than made up for the underwhelming Peking Duck Pancakes. While the curry looks rather plain, it is truly supreme and on the hot and spicy side - but not too hot and spicy. Just utterly delicious with generous chicken pieces. Heaven. A great idea to also order a large serving of Steamed Jasmine Rice ($2) that really compliments the Green Chicken Curry.
Last but not least their Tofu Pad Thai ($12.95) was just delightful. For a change I did not feel bloated at the end of the Pad Thai experience. The rice, herbs and spices blended in so nicely, and the noodles did not feel grainy in any way, shape or form. My loved one had the leftovers for lunch the next day. Bangkok Spice is now on speed-dial should I ever need a Thai food hit of Asian fusion delivered directly to my home in the foreseeable future.
