Right in the heart of Ballarat at the City Oval Ballarat - corner of Pleasant and Mair Street, Ballarat, the beer festival comes a calling again. On Saturday the 24th of January, gates will open at 11am. The festival will be using a token system instead of money. Each token is valued at $2. Pre-purchase your tokens at the Ticketek website when you're buying your ticket. You can also buy your ticket by phoning 132 849 (call 1300 364 001 if it's a group booking (email: firstname.lastname@example.org) or in person at your Ticketek outlet. For the 'group' buyers, buy 10 tickets, 1 goes free. Buy 20 tickets 2 goes free (maximum 2 free tickets per group). All entry tickets include a Ballart Beer Festival official tasting glass and lanyard. You'll get a chance to sample various beers, ciders, wines and delicious gourmet food while you enjoy 9 hours of great 'live' entertainment. Children 12 and under go free, Junior (13 - 17) will cost you $20, Adult $45, Family (2 adult,2 juniors (one junior goes free) $100. Voucher only (for 20 tokens) $40. Gift Pack (adult entry plus stubby holder) $50. Transaction fees may apply.
Free information sessions will be run on the day from 12noon to 5.45pm at Education House. Well known beer educator and writer Pete Mitcham from Australian Brews News will share his knowledge during these informative and entertaining sessions. Subjects include home brewing, followed by Q&A, chuck and cheese, beer and chocolate - a culinary experience and last but not least Stefano says.CLICK HERE and then select LESSONS ON LIQUID GOLD for details. The kids don't miss out either with a dedicated Kids Zone for kids to enjoy all day at this family friendly festival. They can enjoy train rides, jumping castle, face painting, craft activities and a mini farmyard.

It'll be a 5 course dinner prepared by celebrity chef Stefano di Pieri who will host the evening along with leading industry expert and educator Pete Mitcham from Australian Brews News.
