When I first stepped into Bali Bird Park, a rush of excitement swept over me. Colourful, strange birds were all around me; some in large enclosures, or even just walking, or flying around the Bird Park, freely.

We spent half the day in Bali Bird Park; walking past the enclosures with wonderfully strange birds inside them, taking pictures and even some of the birds' posing for the camera!

Although it is a Bird Park, there are a wide range of beautiful plants along the walk around; flowers that I had never seen before and leafy plants that just made the park that little bit better.

As we walked around the park, we would stop and take pictures with the amazing birds'; there is even a bird photographer that will take the picture for you on your camera. We had some amazing photos of us among the birds and even a couple with birds on our shoulders!

have different environments for their birds', some are kept in a sort of house, (mainly the nocturnal birds') some live in their separate enclosures, but most of them roam free in a sort of sanctuary where you are allowed to walk in and be greeted by magnificent birds.

Although does have a cafe/restaurant, I would not recommend buying anything as the food is not up to standard and it is expensive.

Depending on what time of the day it is, you might have an opportunity to see a small bird show! The bird trainers are able to get the birds to fly onto their arms and do a couple of tricks and if you're lucky enough, you'll be able to hold the bird too.

After taking a short break, we went on roaming the bird enclosures; when we spotted a couple of peacocks in their cages, one of them was even a white peacock!

We continued walking around the Bird Park, sometimes stopping to take pictures, and noticing the birds that walked around, such as a mass of pink flamingoes in a patch of water.

We continued our adventure, noticing the wonderful birds and occasionally taking our pictures with them; later walking to the Giftshop, and looking to buy some souvenirs. Although we didn't buy anything, we got a friendly hello from a peacock that had walked into the Gift shop.

If you're ever in Bali, or Indonesia, I highly recommend taking the day and coming to Bali Bird Park; it is a wonderful experience and will absolutely make your holiday.
