I am not wrong in saying is a haven for meat lovers. As a meat lover myself I was drawn into BahBQ mainly through the desire of experiencing an authentic Brazilian feast. The restaurant which is situated in Crows Nest is hard to miss with the colourful tin cow welcoming the hungry diner at the entrance. The ambiance within is relaxed but the upmarket feel is everywhere.

The friendliness of the staff was genuine. From the entrance to the table we felt the warmth of the welcome by the staff. The manager himself came up to our table and had a quite friendly conversation about the restaurant and what to expect at a Brazilian steakhouse.
Once we settled in and informed we chose to go ahead with "Churrasco" (which the manager had explained to us as all kinds of grilled meats). Accompaniments were placed at our table with small dishes of spices, chili and oils to spread or sprinkle on top of the meats. Two types of salads, rice and the bean dish that I could not get enough of, were placed on the table next. Much to our delight all these accompanying dishes were replenished through out the night quite frequently. All we had to do was wave to a staff member passing by.

Most of the time we didn't even have to do that as one of the staff would notice the emptying dishes and ask us if we would like them to be replenished. With all these unlimited refills reaching our table one after the other, it's truly is a understatement to say that I had an overdose of beans that night.

Churrasco that floated around in skewers were the absolute highlight of the visit. Juicy aromatic meats started coming through no sooner the accompaniments were laid on the table. The taste of charcoal was evident in the meats and gave it that extra bit of flavor. There were quite a selections of fire roasted meats starting off with some juicy pork sausages. An endless array of poultry, beef, lamb, chicken, sausages and sea food followed on letting us gorge to our hearts delight. We could have seconds or even thirds but as I found out through my experience you do hit the food wall quite quickly if you stuff yourself with rice, beans and the potato salad. So my advice is for you to go easy on the accompaniments and go hard on the meats as the meats are truly to die for. Though I thoroughly enjoyed gulping small cuts of meat after meat I should mention that the grilled halumi and the grilled pineapple were as equally good and kept me wanting for more.

As all good things our BHABQ experience too had to come to an end but to our delight the manager (or the owner I am unsure) sent complimentary plate of churro to our table. Since it was my birthday I didn't mind indulging in the buttery sugar coated fried dough dipped generously in salted caramel sauce and melted chocolate alternatively. All in all it was a fabulous Churrasco experience that I would repeat anytime.
