Are you looking for a cheap and easy snack that kids and adults will love? Then give Bacon Fingers a try.

This recipe has been kindly handed down from my mother. She finally revealed the secret and I am now passing it on to you. I hope you enjoy them just as much as I have over the years.

The best thing about this recipe, is that you can eat them straight after they have been cooked and are nice and hot or after they have been stored in the fridge and have been left to cool down. Either way, hot or cold, they are delicious.

Ingredients
2 rashers of bacon
1 tblspn of onion
1 egg
6 ozs of grated cheese
1 tblspn tomato sauce
1 dstspn of Worcestershire sauce
6 pieces of bread
Butter

METHOD
1 - Turn oven on to 180 degrees Celsius
2 - Cut up the bacon and onion into small pieces
3 - Beat the egg in a small bowl

4 - Mix the bacon, onion, egg, cheese, tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce into a bowl.
5 - Spread bread lightly with butter and place on an oven tray lined with cooking paper.

6 - Spoon the mixture onto the buttered bread and evenly spread out.

7 - Place tray into the oven.
8 - Cook for twenty minutes or until all the ingredients have cooked and the cheese has turned slightly golden in colour.

Presentation
The slices can be either eaten whole or for improved presentation, can be cut up into fingers. You should be able to get 4 decent sized fingers out of each slice.

You can now serve up your bacon fingers, eat and enjoy.
