The is on every Sunday 9.00am - 1.00pm until the 18th December 2016. Yes, they have been extended beyond the original end date as they have been so successful. The organisers, Stomping Ground Events and Promotions , have applied to the Shire for a permanent licence so local residents and the wider community can benefit from the markets all year round. Fingers crossed the licence is granted.

The mission of the market is to promote a healthy, 'clean' lifestyle, so the variety of fresh produce and healthy products that are sold all follow that lead. The stallholders are all local businesses and the craft wares are all handmade by local businesses. There are currently 25-35 stall holders who regularly attend selling a variety of goods. For example, Bella's Beehive Bath Products are all natural, palm oil free bath and body products made with locally sourced ingredients and sustainable packaging. There were also stalls selling baby clothes, candles, plants etc.

The kids will be entertained whilst you browse the stalls, as there is always something for the children (it differs each week). The day we went, there was free face painting, 2 free bouncy castles (a Disney Princess and a Cars one) and several free large bubble stations. The bubbles were a massive hit with all the children, right near the face painting, so you can queue whilst your child plays with the bubbles. What a good idea!

As you would expect, there was fresh fruit, vegetables and meat available to buy, all grown and sourced locally. There was also a great selection of fruit and vegetables from S & R; all good prices too.

There was a good selection of handmade craft items. I particularly liked the light switch covers created by Stacey Haseldine of Sol Creations Artwork . Stacey takes commissions, so you can buy whatever colour, made up with whatever design you would like. I bought a purple one and a blue one for my daughter's bedrooms. At just $10.00 each, they are perfect stocking fillers.

Thermomix were there as they fly the flag on the healthy theme, as the machine allows you to make wonderful meals from scratch. Buy the fresh produce from the market, go home and cook a fabulous healthy, tasty meal for the whole family!

There are a variety of food vans to choose from for your breakfast/lunch including Woodfire (the Italian Restaurant), waffles, bagels etc. Our favourite was Tapasman. We had meatballs, polenta bread and salsa for $10.00. We could have chosen glazed chorizo pita pocket with Romesco salsa and rocket for $10.00 or chilled rice pudding with poached local fruits for $8.00. The meatballs were glorious, a hint of spice to liven the dish up. We sat undercover to eat and listened to the live music. There are different musicians playing each week and there was room, if you or your young children wanted to, to get up and have a dance. The man we sat next to, was eating the glazed chorizo pita pocket and he said he had come just for that! He told us he would travel a fair distance to eat from Tapasman.

You can get your coffee fix and an ice cream van is there too. Everyone in the whole family is catered for!

Parking is plentiful all around the area, there is a playground close by and I really hope the Shire grant the permanent licence to enable the markets to stay. It is great for the community, residents and small local businesses alike.
