Presenting the
Australian Woolshed, a fair dinkum Aussie attraction that brings the country to the city. Located in the heart of Brisbane (
148 Samford Road, Ferny Hills), the Woolshed, a reproduction of a typical outback sheep station, provides city slickers with the chance to experience life on the farm.
With sheep shearing, herding and billy tea and damper performances throughout the day, plus opportunities to bottle feed animals and milk cows, visitors may either watch or become active participants in the jobs involved with running a farm. There's a variety of tame wildlife, such as koalas, emus and even crocodiles, to interact with and if that doesn't satisfy the kiddies, there's a miniature golf course, and water slides during summer.
As if that weren't enough, you can also kick up your heels at a
bush dance, arrange your
children's birthday party or
host a function... With so many different activities, it's easy to see why the Australian Woolshed is a family favourite.
