in King Street Newtown does provide trendy ambience inside, although this is the only positive thing I have to say about this establishment. Living in the Inner West can be a dangerous thing sometimes, as there is an abundance of choice available when it comes to eating out, and yes especially in Newtown. Any sane person wants to spice things up a bit and eat out at different establishments, and on this occasion this eating out experience was nothing short of disappointing to say the least. Save your wallet and your time and eat elsewhere.

The staff member who served me might not have been having a good day, yet there is a job that needs to be done. Having a bad day does not give anyone permission to be rude. Felt unwelcome at this establishment. The food was tasteless and pretty ordinary. Not worth wasting valuable space mentioning the item I specifically ordered on this occasion, however from someone who appreciates coffee in addition to fine food; serving burnt coffee is a big no no.

Some establishments may skimp on expenses by cleaning the coffee machine less regularly than they should, and this establishment might have done this on this occasion as my coffee (the coffee and milk combined) tasted bland and burnt, or it could have been the skills of the barista; not too sure. WeekendNotes readers, you will find better value elsewhere.
