Closer to home, he's hosted radio on Nova FM and worked with the likes of Peter Helliar and Adam Hills whilst also making appearances on shows such as The Project.
He returns back to the comedy scene with his new show Back in Business at the underground venue of Fort Delta. In Melbourne style, the venue is actually a gallery located off a laneway in the heart of the CBD (enter via Howey Place).
He walks in front of the audience, suited up, sending the message that he definitely means business - yet it is slightly contradicted by the fact that he's banging away at a keyboard that keeps playing the same cheesy theme song.
This keyboard will be stuck in your head after the show
The stories gave us many laughs but what I left feeling uneasy about is - did all these things really happen to Ash? He definitely had a lot of photographic evidence and audio samples to back up his stories, providing us insight into his past, including his work at a gay bar.
He insists that all these things did indeed happen and his housemate, who was seated next to us, backed him up whilst shaking his head at the thought that someone could go through so much.
The fact that most of the stories are true will definitely add another dimension to your laughter.
Each story ended with a lesson or tip of how to be a successful business person and at the end, we weren't only left laughing - but also with degrees in business at a Harvard equivalent (as per below).
Don't miss out on this home-grown talent and his life lessons on how to get back in business. Buy some tickets before the festival ends and find out more about Ash and his accountant (who is a cat here.
