If you have wondered what
Sydney Observatory is like inside and wish to learn about its history, then join volunteers from the Australian Architecture Association (AAA) on an architectural tour.
These tours will run on Saturday 3rd and 10th September, 2pm to 3pm.
The Sydney Observatory was built in 1858 and has a long and interesting history. Being one of Sydney's oldest historical buildings, it holds 'state significance' by the New South Wales Government and is heritage listed.
In these buildings important scientific research was undertaken for the colony of New South Wales, impacting history with timekeeping, meteorology, navigation and astronomy in Australia.
This will be an interesting tour that history buffs will enjoy but also a lovely day out to enjoy the surrounding botanical gardens.
