Celebrate the humble chilli
The annual LiveLighter Araluen's Fremantle Chilli Festival is back for 2014 to once again celebrate all things chilli. This popular event will be held at the Fremantle Esplanade on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th March, 2014, from 10am till 5pm each day.
Since its establishment in 2003, each year, this annual event attracts thousands of people. The festival stallholders offer everything chilli but also cater for non-chilli lovers and children, with a range of delicious products to taste and buy.
Proudly brought to you be the City of Fremantle and Araluen Botanic Garden, the festival brings together a variety of fresh foods, plants, pickles, chutneys, olives, cheese, chocolate, wine, beers and much more.
There will be an assortment of entertainment and activities to keep everybody happy. Over eighty market stalls offering chilli themed items, plus live music, demonstrations, activities, roving entertainment, celebrity appearances, food, refreshments, tastings, prizes and more.
Radio Station Mix 94.5 will be broadcasting from the festival all weekend, members of the Perth Heat Baseball Team will be making appearances or you can relax and take it easy in the 'Chill Out' area.
One of the highlights of the festival is the cooking demonstrations. Celebrity chefs take to the stage to show you how to cook with chilli, and offer great cooking tips and tricks.
Tickets for the LiveLighter Araluen's Fremantle Chilli Festival cost $18.00 for adults, children up to 17 years of age are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
