If you have been on a cross country drive over the Christmas - New Year period, you may be looking to get your car cleaned.

Aqua Hand Carwash and Detailing is conveniently located at 22-26 Main North Rd, Prospect, SA, 5082. They provide a good hand wash and selected extras all of which incur a small fee.

Aqua Hand Car Wash and Detailing put a flyer in the letterbox advertising a Basic Wash $24.95, Super Wash including interior vacuum, $44.95, Deluxe Wash $64.95, Ultimate Wash including interior shampoo $184.95 and three step Paint Treatment $294.95. Four wheel drives cost $5-$10 extra, depending on the service selected. The flyer advertised café facilities and children's play area.

Having a coffee or meal while the car was washed sounded like a great idea. Keeping the car cleaned and polished can also help prolong the life of the paint and bodywork.

When we visited Aqua, we found there was also a cut-price Speed Wash available for about $16.95. The cafeteria is actually an internet café because you can use computer monitors provided to check your email or surf the net while your car is being washed.

The café made a reasonable coffee, which they served in lidded takeaway cups, presumably in case your car was ready and you wanted to drive away. Food was limited to muffins and cookies. Soft drinks and ice-creams were available in a refrigerator.

The children's play area is safe and suitable for children under the age of two, but really ought not to be confused with any place that offers extensive play equipment for children.

The flyer had also advertised a second car wash half price. (The second wash however, is only claimable if you attend the car wash with a friend who also wants their car washed.)
