The April school holiday is a time to take advantage of what is left of the warm weather before winter takes hold. As we already know, Mother Nature can be temperamental this time of year, so here is a selection of outdoor and indoor activities to keep kids (and the young at heart) amused over the next few weeks.

For Outdoor Days


• Holiday Fun at Cleland Wildlife Park
[ADVERT]Cuddle koalas, feed kangaroos and observe native animals at Cleland Wildlife Park . During the school holiday, there are activities such as a discovery trail, wildlife show, games and presentations.

• Paws on the Shore
Paws on the Shore is a great day out for the whole family. After the community dog walk along Moana Beach, there are activities, entertainment and demonstrations at Nashwauk Reserve.

• Day Trip to Port Noarlunga
With a wonderful beach, many cafes, Onkaparinga Adventure Playground and Onkaparinga River Recreation Park , there is plenty to do at Port Noarlunga.

• School Holiday Movies at Blockbuster
Stock up for your own movie marathon. There are some great new movies available during the school holiday such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (available now), Jock (available now), Rise of the Guardians (April 10), Parental Guidance and Wreck-It Ralph (April 24).

• Waffles at Bracegirdle's at 190
For a special treat, have lunch at Bracegirdle's at 190 . The food is delicious and the Belgian waffle I have crowned the best in Adelaide. While you're in McLaren Vale, check out the playground and war memorial at Gemmel Tassie Reserve .
