Anna Chandler Design produces handmade bohemian style home wares featuring beautiful bold colour which immediately uplifts and inspires.



A real local success story Anna Chandler Design, which has been running for over thirty years keeps expanding its markets and adding new shops. Anna Chandler Design is the name of Anna Chandler and Michael McElhinney's business which exports all over Australia and the world. As well as a factory and shop in Pearson Way Osborne Park Anna and her husband have two shops called Gypsiana, one newly opened in Leederville (which is only five weeks old) and another in Napoloen Street Cottesloe.



A Curtin graduate, Anna produces many pieces in the Osborne Park factory and studio space including funky jewellery pieces made out of old plates and tiles as well as antique fabrics. Other pieces made by Anna include wall plaques, mirrors and lamps. The shops also stocks amazing rugs, gorgeous printed cushions and clothing, some of which is sourced from exotic locales overseas by Anna. Anna also stocks a range of locally made natural body products.



There is something for everyone at Gypsiana or the Anna Chandler Design store from wooly teapot covers in stunning colours to printed coffee cups, placemats, tea towels and aprons all in Anna's signature bright motifs and designs.



The factory and shop space in Osborne Park is a delight - not only because it is stocked with glorious products but because it has a wonderful story behind it. The factory was actually built around an old art deco house which now serves as the Osborne Park shop. When you walk into the front part of the building, if you look up you can see the old art deco ceiling roses which adorned a market gardener's house which is now surrounded by the factory's walls! The whole area along Pearson street was Market Gardens not so long ago.



It is this sense of history whether it be Perth history or Mediterranean architecture that characterises Anna's zest and enthusiasm for what she does. Beautifully handcrafted products which will brighten your day and make your living spaces come alive.
