The Angry Film Festival was created in 2004 by Festival Director Tom Vogel. Films do not have to be of an 'angry nature' as the festival name suggests.

The festival was named after Tom's first attempt at his own short film 'The Angry Penguin.' The only criteria, is that films be under fifteen minutes.

The Angry Film Festival is accepting submissions until the 30th of January 2012. So to all you film makers out there, now is your chance to have your talent exposed to a possible international audience.

The entry fee for Aussie films is only $25 and for international films, entries are free. Plus every entry submitted also receives a one year membership to artshub.com.

Keep in mind that if your film doesn't get through as a finalist, it still has a chance to be selected for West Side Shorts, a monthly offshoot from Angry.

Vogel has been active in the Australian film scene for some time, juggling the roles of actor/writer/producer and director.

In 2009, his short film Bouncer was screened at Melbourne's prominent St Kilda Film Festival, also that year another of his shorts One In A Million, was a finalist in Tropfest.

The 10th Angry Film Festival runs over three nights and is being held at Revolt Productions (12 Elizabeth Street, Kensington).

8.30pm, 28th February – Screening of Dace Decklan: Private Eye (Dir: Ivan Malekin).
