At Amici Deli you can purchase imported and locally produced products in store. The range is wide and varied and includes fresh meat, small goods, antipasto, pasta sauces, a range of fresh Italian cheeses, freshly baked bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar, coffee and freshly made traditional cakes, sweets, biscuits and gelato. After shopping, relax inside or outside with an espresso, served by Amici Deli's friendly staff.
Amici Deli is much more than your local Italian delicatessen, the indoor/outdoor espresso bar/cafe is also a great destination for a weekend catch-up with friends and family. Follow the Amici Deli Facebook profile to see all their latest products and specials.
There comes a time in every person's life when they dream of Italy. Who hasn't had a bowl of spaghetti or an exceptionally tasty pizza and thought about how much nicer it would be to being indulging in the native food outside the Trevi Fountain?
Okay, maybe your more like me and just really love your coffee and cannolli.
I finally found the Italian haven I've been longing for in Brisbane, and it's miraculously walking distance from my house.
It's called Amici Deli, and it's an Italian espresso bar and delicatessan that makes you feel like you've just walked into the well stocked kitchen of an Italian grandmother.
The staff are only too happy to hang on your every word, and respond in broken english that you should "enjoy your coffee first and pay after you shop". Which is a tradition that I've become quite fond of.
For a mere $7.50 you can get not only the kind of coffee that makes you sigh in satisfaction, but vanilla or chocolate cannolli which can easily become a food lover's new addiction.
It's a hard kind of pastry shell that is lined with chocolate and filled with chocolate or vanilla flavoured custard and nuts.
It's finished off with icing sugar, and you are guaranteed to leave wearing half of it because it's impossible to eat cannolli in any sort of dainty fashion.
If your dining in, you can elect to sit outside in the sunshine and watch the world wander past, or cozy up indoors with the Italian family for conversation.
It's a must do to start your weekend; and the perfect way to finish it by purchasing some home made spaghetti and sauce to take with you.

It is great to have a place like this near Chermside. A nice atmosphere and so much better than the franchise style coffee shops. I had a really nice brunch - chicken filo and salad.

Sadly my experience was one of being ignored whilst coffee's were made. I had my children with me who were well behaved but there seemed to be more important things behind the counter than actual customer service. I won't be back.
