Amalfi Pizzeria
Where can you have the best pizza and pasta in Adelaide? I will tell you - it is at Amalfi Pizzeria Ristorante. Okay, this is a huge call, but it is definitely the best that I have had thus far in our city. It may not be the absolute best pizzeria (Melt Pizza and Goodlife Pizza are up there too as my favourites), but for both pizza and pasta, this is the place to go. I hadn't been to Amalfi Pizzeria in years, and I had forgotten just how yummy the food is.
Amalfi Special Pizza (with the lot)
I recommend going in a big group, that way you can all share the dishes and try a bit of everything. We shared three pastas, three pizzas and a barramundi dish (which surprisingly isn't on the menu but a friend who knew about it had ordered it). My favourites were the Ragu pasta and the Americano pizza. Whatever you order, you will be sure to enjoy the wonderful flavours and textures. Don't worry about over-ordering either because what you don't finish, you can take it away and finish it the next day.
Ragu pasta - Rigatoni sauteed with rich veal in a chunk meat sauce
Americano pizza with fresh tomato, bocconcini, cacciatore salami, chilli and basil
Con Pollo pasta - rigantoni with chicken, pancetta, mushroom, chives, and apricot in a pepper cream sauce
On the night we went, the service was pretty good too. Our waiter was friendly and our food came out quickly. I think they wanted us in and out of their restaurant as quickly as possible. I can't blame them though considering how popular they are. Hence for those who are thinking of going there for dinner, you must definitely make a booking.
Try them if you haven't already done so, and let me know what you think.
