For those who like to combine things - this little weekend tip could be done in conjunction with my earlier recommendation -
Trafalgar Square, as it is a little over a hop, skip and jump away.
Don't worry though, I'm not about to send you to some tourist hell-hole, where you will be fleeced of your money while attempting to enjoy sub-standard food and drink, no way, that's not my style at all. Instead I am going to recommend
Albannach to you.
Now this fine little establishment brings the best of Scotland to those who might be intrigued, but not have the inclination to take a trip there from London. Of course, being Scottish, it is all about the
whisky here - it is rumoured that the collection of single malts here is the best in the whole of the UK after all. This isn't however the whole story, as under the Albannach roof there is also housed a fine
restaurant too - which aims to provide the best food and ingredients sourced from around the UK, and especially from Scotland itself. So if you have ever wondered what haggis tastes like, what better place to do it - well, without going North of the Border, anyway.
