There's no argument that the waterways in and around picturesque Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park are a leisure seeker's delight. Amongst a labyrinth of river valleys and headlands, wide estuaries and sheltered coves, is pretty Akuna Bay. Situated on Coal and Candle Creek, off Broken Bay, Akuna Bay is a bustling agglomeration of marine vessels and their enthusiastic skippers. Luxury yachts, houseboats and family cruisers come and go all day.

Dinghies laden with fishing gear putter in their wake, even canoes and kayaks glide leisurely between them. Akuna is an Aboriginal word, said to mean flowing water. But there is much more to Akuna Bay than flowing water.
Part of the d'Albora Marinas premier marina group, you'll find an abundance of things to do, and all the services and facilities you will need to do them. If you're just visiting for the day, or choose to remain on dry land, there's a barbecue area for the whole family. Relax over a glass of wine, or enjoy a coffee in the cafe while you admire the view. There's even a new waterfront restaurant and function centre - a picture perfect setting for your next big celebration. If you are heading out on the water for the day, stock up with supplies in the general store – or ask them to prepare a hamper or picnic basket for you.
Akuna bay also provides a full complement of marine related services.

If you own a boat, but don't get out on the water quite as often as you'd like, there's a massive "Rack 'n Stack" vertical system of dry storage for boats up to 7.5m - as well as floating berths for boats up to 30m.
If you're lucky enough to be in the market to buy one, hop aboard and get a feel for the many impressive new and used vessels for sale on the premises. However, if owning a boat is just a dream, then you can hire one for a few hours, or a weekend. A boating licence may be required depending on the size. There are boat repair, cleaning and detailing services aplenty. If you're hoping to catch the fish of the year, you can purchase a fishing licence, bait and ice.

A maximum of 30 minutes by car from almost anywhere on the Northern Beaches, Akuna Bay is certainly a dose of the idyllic.

I was pleasantly surprised at the gorgeous meal we had at Akuna Bay Mariner, but what impressed me the most was the top quality kids meals, there was no skimping on quality or quantity, at an excellent price! Brain, our waiter was the hero of the day, his attention to detail and excellent homour had the kids amused. Thanks for an excellent lunch and a relaxed atmosphere.
