An Easter gourmet delight 2014
The Adelaide Central Market is the most amazing place to shop at the best of times and this Easter 2014 is no exception. Easter Trading Hours are now established and as always road side and undercover parking is available with access from both Gouger and Grote Streets.
Adelaide Central Market
The market is 140 years old and has some 80 stall holders. It has become one of Adelaide's greatest tourist attractions and is a hub for Adelaideians visiting weekly to purchase all their necessary supplies. I find the market a complete indulgence that serves all the senses, being a showcase of everything South Australia produces for the table and the palate.
I recently also discovered that the Adelaide Central Market has free face painting for children at different times including during the Easter trading period. Other activities for little market goers include Little Market Chefs and Free Easter Craft workshop.
What is Easter without chocolate and the market stalls are already full of all things Easter. From hot cross buns to gourmet Easter bilbies. You'll find it all there. I did and I'll be back over the Easter break to enjoy yet another great coffee, gather up a whole range of gourmet delights and generally enjoy the wonderful trading atmosphere the market has to offer.
