There is a new way to have fun on the River Torrens. While the paddle boats and Popeye are still going strong,
Adelaide Ballzup are offering fun with a bit of a difference.
Anyone from the age of 3-103, as the poster proclaims, can have fun with Ballzup. For just $10 you'll be placed inside a giant bubble, where you'll walk, flop, and fall on the water, all without getting wet. Nothing can get in, so as you try to navigate over the water in the giant balls, you'll still remain completely dry. It is a surreal experience standing inside a giant transparent ball while it is inflated around you.
Once you're on the water, you can really do what you like. Half of the fun comes from just trying to stand up. Why not grab a friend, and see who can get to the other side first? You'll always have a soft landing, so no matter how many times you bump around, you're not going to get hurt.
One of the great things about the Ballzup balls is that kids as young as three can take part. It isn't often that you come across a fun school holiday that all the kids can take part in, so this isn't one of those activities where you'll find a lot of sad faces on the sidelines while only the older kids have fun.
Adelaide Ballzup should be on the River Torrens until March 31st as part of
Splash Adelaide, but this isn't the only place they'll be. They can set up anywhere with water, so potentially you might find them down at Glenelg, or another of Adelaide's beaches. Or, if there is no water in sight, they'll bring their own. This is their plan for
Clipsal, where you'll have to keep an eye out for a large pool to continue the fun. This also means that they can cater for other events and functions, for a bit of unique fun.
