ABC Gardening Expo has the answers. Taking place at the Convention Centre at South Bank over the weekend of Friday 16 – Sunday 18 April, the ABC Gardening Expo will show to how to make the most of the outside room and Queensland's outdoor friendly living weather.
Divided into a variety of features, the ABC Gardening Expo can provide advice on your problem plants, help you understand and support the variety of native wildlife common to every backyard, teach you how to become an organic gardener and show you culinary delights you can make with your produce at the Cooking stage. Spot the Dog show kids that there is more fun to be had in the backyard than there is with a video game.
Each of the three days features a variety of presentations from local experts and ABC's gardening program presenters. Some highlights include: finding out which plants are toxic to cats and dogs, learning to compost, cultivate and control the garden, making your own potting soil and how to re-pot plants successfully, and how to get the kids involved in kitchen activities. The Ask It Solve It stage held daily will allow you to get answers to your gardening dilemmas from ABC experts. Suppliers of gardening products, plants and other items for the outside oasis will be exhibiting at the expo.
The ABC Gardening Expo is held over one air-conditioned level of the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre South Bank and is open between 10:00am – 4:30pm daily between Friday 16 and Sunday 18 April. Tickets may be purchased
online and cost $6 for children (aged 5 - 16 years), $13 for pensioners/seniors card holders and $15 for adults. Children under 5 may enter free and a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) costs $34.
Paid parking is available onsite or South Brisbane train station, City Busway Station or South Bank Ferry terminal are the closest
public transport stops to the expo.
