The interchange between seasons can be a busy and expensive time for fashionistas, but this Brisbane market is making the task a little easier by providing cheap designer items in one convenient location.
A Frock Affair is a fashion market for pre-loved designer labels and vintage accessories. Visitors to the market can choose from a range of sizes, styles and designers, such as Cooper Street, Oroton and Cue. Everything is in premium second hand condition and is a fraction of the price you would have paid in the stores.
Financially strapped brides can also get the look for less. A Frock Affair offers custom made bridal gowns at a reduced price. They also stock brand new veils and bridal hoops for as little as $25.00.
If you have a wardrobe full of clothes you don't wear and would like to earn some extra cash, visit the Frock Affair website to
register your interest as a stall holder. Stalls are $70.00 for a trestle table, chairs, insurance and space for two clothing racks.
A Frock Affair sets up at South's Leagues Club (
West End Park, corner Jane Street and Montague Road) on selected Saturdays every second month, from 8.00am until 2.00pm. Entry is free and the first fifty arrivals will receive a complimentary gift bag. The market is cash sales only, but the venue does have an ATM.
