Do you want to see You Am I, Hoodoo Gurus, The Beautiful Girls, Richard Clapton, Kate Miller-Heidke, Ash Grunwald and 10 other
artists for just $69 (plus booking fee)? Then make sure you’ve got your ticket to
A Day At The Park, which will be happening at
Toyota Stadium on the 14th of November.
As the website explains, “a diverse palate” will be on offer, with the festival containing “a sumptuous mix of rock legends, acoustic balladeers, blues, roots & dub acts, indie pop-rockers and Australia's best emerging talent.”
The
organisers will be keeping a lid on tickets, so that there’s enough room for people to dance, roam about and enjoy a picnic. They’ll also be providing undercover viewing and shaded areas, to ensure that the day passes as comfortably as possible.
Unfortunately, the rules concerning eating and drinking are quite finicky. While “home prepared meals” will be permitted, “commercially prepared food, metal utensils, glass, crockery and soft drinks/juices” won’t be. Should you want to buy something there, the stadium will have “a good quality range” of “reasonably priced food” for sale. Free water refills will be provided, but only sealed water bottles will be allowed through the gates. And while alcohol can be purchased on site, none can be brought into the venue.
Still, with so much Aussie talent on show, are we really going to let all that get in the way?
