Smoothies are definitely becoming a sure fire super way to start your morning. Especially now we are coming into these gorgeous spring mornings, it's time to put away the warming porridge and break out that blender. When you can make these delicious creations at home, it will be hard to part with $8 - $10 at the local café. Make your own and see how you go. Get creative and experiment with a variety of flavours and ingredients. Here are my four favourites – my staples to get me going through the week. A perfect way to fill you up with all that good stuff – especially after a morning walk through the blooming jacarandas or an intense gym session. Jam pack them with as much goodness as possible. Now, I like my smoothies really cold and thick, so I tend to put A LOT of ice in them. See how you go and work out your own way to enjoy!!

1 scoop protein powder (vanilla or natural flavour)
½ - 1 cup milk / water of your choice depending on desired thickness (I tend to use a combination of water & soy)
Ice
Blend all ingredients together until smooth. Top with 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
