From 17 September 2011 to 12 February 2012, the Art Gallery of New South Wales will be holding an exhibit called 20th Century Australian Collection, which will feature key themes and renowned Australian artists from early 1900s to 1970s.
Works of Grace Cossington Smith, Margaret Preston, William Dobell, Russell Drysdale and Arthur Boyd will be present, along with the new acquisitions of Ian Fairweather's
Last Supper (1958) and Sidney Nolan's
First-Class Marksman (1946). Furthermore, there will be pop art and hard-edge abstraction paintings from the 1960s as well.
